FAQ
What should I wear for my portrait session?
First and foremost, wear what makes you feel beautiful! Confidence is the best thing you can bring to your session!
A few tips I like to share: LONG SLEEVES can be more flattering. Think CLASSIC, trends are fun but you don't want to date your portraits especially if this is a special session that will hang on the wall for the rest of time and eternity. Pay attention to FIT, loose fit does not always photograph well, if you like an oversized sweater, pair it with form fit jeans. PATTERN is fun but be careful not to overdo it, nature has its own pattern and if everyone in the family is wearing flannel it gets busy, try mixing it up with some solids.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based out of Eastern Oregon, specifically the charming little town of La Grande. I grew up on the Oregon Coast and travel West to Portland and Newport often to service clients and visit family. I have always loved to travel and find myself photographing all over the Western United States and internationally.
When will we get our photos?
I will send a gallery link within two weeks of a standard session. Durning the Fall, delivery times are delayed. Larger sessions take more time but because I know how hard it is to wait so I will send a little sneak peek.
How many pictures will we receive?
Each session is unique so I don't like to put a number on it. If you have concerns please reach out and let me know what type of session you are interested in and I can help give you a better idea.
Any beauty tips to help my prepare from my close up?
A frequent concern seems to be bright smiles, whitening strips are always a good idea leading up to your session.
I also recommend a healthy exfoliation to clear away dry skin and clean out pores but do it a good 24 hours before our session to ensure your skin isn't irritated the day of.
On the day of your session I recommend redness relief eye drops, lotion, and chapstick. Bring them along to reapply if necessary.
